My Digital Notebook

online journalism, search, and digital media

About this blog

The Blog

My Digital Notebook is a blog about digital media, online journalism and photography. Beside that, I am going to use it for perspective and to share the best online content that I find.

Me

My name is Peter Moore and I live in London. I have worked in various media roles over the past eight years, both print and digital. Between 2007 – 8 I edited Vibe Magazine in Madrid and then, for a couple of years after that I worked as the Head of Publishing at Net Media Planet, a successful digital search agency which was voted in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 in 2009 and the Deloitte Fast 500 in 2010.

Since October 2010 I have been a visiting lecturer in the journalism and creative writing departments of City University in London.

My Digital Notebook is intended to broadly trace my interest in journalism: where it is and where it is going. I’ll try to keep the content here useful – and much of it will be derived from my lectures and my students’ experiences.

A few links and (2.0) points:

I use WordPress to blog, I manage all my bookmarks with Delicious. I take photos with either a Nikon D90 or an iPhone and I try to keep Flickr up to date. A weathered bank of my old magazine articles are on a website called elvillano and everything to do with my creative writing is over at a Posterous blog called Lost and Found. I’m represented by Peter’s Fraser and Dunlop and Damn His Blood – my first book – will be published by Chatto and Windus.
